Laparoscopic interventions
Endoscopic Interventions Endoscopic diagnostics has spread in the advancement of medical technology, as it has replaced traditional methods of diagnosis for its efficacy and accuracy in diagnosing the patient’s condition. At the same time, it is in continuous and rapid progress linked to the rapid and high-precision development of medical technology
The word endoscope means to see what’s inside. Whereas, the endoscope is a thin tube with a camera attached to it and connected to a device that displays what is seen inside the patient’s body. Thus, the specialist doctor can view the patient’s interior and diagnose the disease – if any – with ease. The patient can take the results of the examination, as well as view it if desired.
In addition to the process of examination and diagnosis, part of the secretions of these organs or fluids or even part of the tissues in the area are taken and the necessary examinations are performed for them as well. Surgical operations can also be performed on the affected organ by laparoscopy.
Based on all of that, the specialist doctor can determine the patient’s condition, diagnose him accurately, and give him the necessary treatment if there is a reason for that.
The advantage of laparoscopic interventions is that they reduce pain compared to other surgeries. It also does not leave a trace of holes or scars, as is the case in surgical operations. In addition, it limits the patient’s stay in the hospital after the operation.
Endoscopic interventions are varied, as gastroenteroscopy, hysteroscopy, bronchoscopy and arthroscopy can be performed.
Gastroscopy: In which a comprehensive examination of the digestive system is done from the esophagus to the exit of the body (the back). This type of endoscopy is used to diagnose stomach diseases so that the specialist doctor can know the patient’s condition and give him the necessary treatment. It may be necessary to take a sample of the tissues there and make the necessary tests.
Bronchoscopy: This type of endoscopy is used to examine the respiratory system and diagnose its diseases that may take the form of bleeding or tumor. It is also used to make sure that there are foreign bodies inside or not inside the respiratory system. It may also be necessary to take a sample from that area if the specialist doctor deems it necessary.
Hysteroscopy: Through this endoscopy, the uterus is diagnosed from the inside, its condition is accurately determined, and the tissues in it are examined.
Arthroscopy: In which the endoscope is inserted into the joint by making a simple opening in the joint and performing minor surgeries inside it, such as the cruciate ligament operation, cutting the knee cartilage, treating cases of ruptures and dislocations, and others.
In our hospital, all types of endoscopic interventions are performed using the latest medical technology under the supervision of a highly qualified and specialized medical staff.
